Reiki and Shoulder Pain
Lower back and shoulder pains seem to be one of the most common problems in a human body. While we’re able to connect these problems to most of desk jobs, we know that when we start healing, that changes in physical surroundings aren’t really enough. There has to be a cause that we connect with our emotions and our feelings.
If I can notice, pain in the shoulder always comes along with the blocked heart chakra. We are all able to get hurt in some point in our lives. While we’re able to solve some things with comfort and ease, some of us leave hurting and unwilling to move on. These don’t always have to be big and dramatic events. Even the smallest wounds can sometimes create long lasting blocks.
When we have pain in an incident that is emotional, sometimes we shut our hearts down. After all is there a better way of preventing to get hurt than to not let anyone too close and into the heart. Try to image a person that’s trying to protect their heart region. They would cross their arms in front of their heart with shoulders hunched forward. If you are able to observe carefully, this is the posture the shoulders have when you’re experiencing shoulder pain. The position is completely unnatural and there is gonna be always people suffering from this.
Healing the Heart
Closing the heart has it’s own advantages, but a big disadvantage is you’re not letting love in. It becomes really hard to accept and show love while we’re not letting anyone in.
We shut our hearts down because of an underlying belief that opening our heart up can bring us pain. The solution over here lies not in replacing this belief with another, because love and hurt do go hand in hand, but in healing our fear of getting hurt. A dedicated sportsman experiences plenty of hard work, plenty of pain, maybe even injuries, but that doesn’t bother him, because the sport also brings him joy. It is the same with opening up the heart. Yes it will bring pain. It will also bring love, joy, togetherness, and in its ultimate flowering, infinite bliss.
We shut our hearts in belief that opening our hearts can bring us immense pain. The solution lies in replacing this belief with another, so love and peace can enter our lives. By healing ourselves and not letting fear in our lives we’re giving ourselves a smaller chance of getting hurt. A professional sportsman brings a lot of hard work into his daily routines, he experiences pain and maybe injuries, but he always continues to do something that brings him joy. It’s the same when we’re opening our hearts. It will bring us pain but it will also bring us joy, love and infinite bliss.
- Create a space that’s sacred, light a few candles, incense sticks or lamps.
- Bring into your awareness a situation where you are afraid of getting hurt. This could be a real incident or an imagined one. Become aware of the feelings this situation brings up. Bring awareness to the situation where you’re afraid of getting your feelings hurt. You can visualize certain information and become aware of your feelings.
- Give resistance to the pain and stay strong.
- Take deep breaths while you’re embracing the pain. Breath the love and continue to do this for a while.
- Starting with the heart chakra start your full body healing
Regular practice of this exercise will help you be more open and loving. Your shoulders will start to straighten up by themselves, and the pain will disappear.
